Wal-Mart combines online shopping with cold, hard cash

The world's retail giant is going out on a limb with a revolutionary shopping concept called "paying with cash." Technically, it's not all that new -- you may have learned in history class of ancient people conducting commerce in such a fashion, but Wal-Mart has updated it. Now customers who may be, uh, credit-card challenged can do their shopping online, then drive to the nearest superstore to pay for their items with some greenbacks. Of course, they could just drive to the store and shop the old-fashioned way since they're going to pay the old-fashioned way. But at least this method allows the cash buyer a taste of the e-consumer experience.
