Looking to buy a gun after Sandy Hook? Well Wal-Mart's sold out
12/20/2012Despite residents of Camden, N.J., deciding to get rid of their guns and trade them in in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, Conn., many Wal-Mart locations are reporting that they are sold out of semi-automatic rifles. In addition, the prices for handgun magazines are soaring on Ebay. Wal-Mart opted not to discontinue selling rifles similar to the one used by Adam Lanza during the deadly shooting, and spokesman David Tovar said the company remains "dedicated to the safe and responsible sale of firearms." On auction site Ebay, bids for several models of handgun magazines have more than doubled. [Source]
