Wal-Mart, the country's largest gun-seller, set the ammo limit after a massive and continued sales surge that followed the Newtown shootings. "Over the years we have been very purposeful about striking the right balance between serving hunters and sportsmen and ensuring that we sell firearms responsibly," Wal-Mart spokesman David Tovar said.
