Wal-Mart walkout might make this the darkest Black Friday yet
11/16/2012To some shoppers, incredible savings the day after Thanksgiving seem like an inalienable right at this point, and who minds lines hundreds of people long, the occasional fistfight and crowds stripping shelves bare if it all adds up to low, low prices? Apparently store employees do, and some Wal-Mart workers, who are sick of spending their holiday contending with furious crowds snatching marked down goods off the shelves, are reportedly planning a strike on Black Friday. Wal-Mart does not seem too concerned with the possibility and has been cheerfully making statements that its sales associates are excited for the "Super Bowl" of retail, but they might find workers doing the wave on game day — as they walk out the door.
