Waldo Canyon evacuee starts a blaze of her own

Krista McCann thought she'd put fire in her rear-view mirror when she evacuated Waldo Canyon in Colorado with that blaze threatening her home. But on her way to Oregon to surprise her father, her Subaru lost control on I-84 while passing a Jeep in eastern Idaho, wrecking and triggering another wildfire that consumed 2,000 acres before crews brought it under control. It also consumed all the belongings she'd jammed in her rig before fleeing Colorado, except what she had in her purse. "I saw the field was on fire and at that point … I was pretty devastated," she said.
