Poor little Wall Street bankers may receive lowest bonuses in years
12/9/2012Why do we suspect no one is feeling too sorry for Wall Street bankers today as news breaks that their coveted bonuses may be lower this year? A report has gone viral indicating workers on Wall Street are expecting (this is where we cue up the tiny violin) the "worst bonus season since the crash of 2008." Gasp! New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli estimates the average bonus will be a mere $101,000, down from $191,360 back in 2006. Wait … only $101,000?! How will they pay the bills? Their regular salaries are only in the six figures. What about Christmas?! How will little Tommy EVER GET HIS RADIO FLYER?!? [Source]
