Tied election means candidate's wife will never forget to vote again

You have to wonder what dinner is like these days at Bobby McDonald's house. McDonald ran for the Walton City Council in Kentucky on Tuesday, and his race finished in a tie: 669 to 669. Usually, this would just be a civics lesson in how every vote really does count — but that maxim had an unexpected personal relevance for McDonald, whose wife, Katie, was among the nonvoters. "She worked extra hours, goes to school, and we have three kids, so I don't blame her," McDonald said.
