Seniors wage war against building management to keep Christmas tree
12/6/2012Imagine "Red Dawn," but replace high school students with senior citizens, and swap out the freedom-denying Cubans/Russians/North Koreans for the powers that be at JB Partners Group. This is more or less the situation at The Willows adult apartment complex in Newhall, Calif., where Christmas-loving seniors were ordered by building management to remove their "religious symbol" from a community space. The seniors are now fighting back, staging a 20-person-plus protest. "We could put out Easter baskets, have turkey for Thanksgiving, but no tree for Christmas because it has Christ's name in the beginning," said one resident. The war wages on. [Source]
