Watch a daredevil hit a mountain at 120 MPH
2/23/2012Daredevil Jeb Corliss's 120 MPH crash into a boulder on Table Mountain made international headlines when it happened in January. Today, he has released terrifying footage of the incident, taken from a number of cameras -- including some mounted on his own helmet. Corliss -- outfitted in a black, Batman-esque wingsuit -- flies through the air for several thrilling seconds, until his foot clips a boulder on his lightning-fast descent. The video footage shows Corliss releasing a safety parachute right after impact; observers say that's what saved his life. Corliss -- whose previous stunts include jumping from the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur -- broke both legs in the accident. He's been recuperating in a hospital in California since but is due to be released this week.
