Watch a stalwart tree save the neck of a lucky photographer
4/29/2012The key to photography, like real estate, is location, location, location. Except that sometimes it's not about being in the right place to get the shot, but simply being in the right place to survive -- as this photographer covering what appears to be a rather low-tier road rally discovered when a white hatchback went airborne off an incline and sailed off course. Luckily for him, Mother Nature -- in the form of a large, vigilant tree -- was there to intervene. Neither of the principals seemed too shaken up. The driver was able to get out under his own power and, after slinking away into the bushes, the shooter was back in position to make a picture just in case the outcome had been more gruesome.
Was the photographer's positioning smart or lucky?
