Watch a surfing competition literally go to the dogs

​Literal surf doggies from all around the U.S. gathered to hang 10 (and 20) for the seventh annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition in San Diego. There are many categories at the event—longest ride, best tandem ride, first father-daughter-dog ride—but make no mistake, this dog-surfing event is from start to finish a total catwalk, with the dogs wearing the latest in canine wetsuits and sometimes sporting sleek waterproof cameras. The vibe of the competition is more warm and friendly than dog-eat-dog, but winners do earn their owners a special vacation package at the resort (sweet bro!) and snacks for themselves. All profits from the surfing competition are donated to an animal charity.
