Watch hipsters try to explain what the hell Higgs boson is
7/6/2012Hipsters think the "God particle" is rad! Well, not really. Although scientists are freaking out about the discovery of the Higgs boson particle, your average 20-something New Yorker (or anywhere, for that matter) is not-so-aware of its existence. We'll be honest, it's pretty complicated stuff. The Motherboard blog at Vice magazine's website took to the streets of New York to ask its target demographic if they had any idea what the Higgs boson was. Predictably, the results are hilarious -- if you like laughing at pretty young people. Our favorite responses? "An egg? An egg with a little bird inside?" and "Some sort of creepy European man?"
