Watch hot dog pun overload drive NY mayor to cussing

Heckling your own speech isn't something you expect from a politician. While addressing a crowd at the weigh-in for The Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was feeling increasingly queasy with the quantity of hot dog puns flowing from his speech. The third-term Mayor mockingly delivered a number of corny lines before reeling off "dogged pursuers will finally ketchup [with the defending champions], cut the mustard, and be pronounced the wiener. No question, it's going to be a dog fight." At this point, Bloomberg jokingly asks "who wrote this sh**?" as the audience cries with laughter.​
