Watch a Westboro member squirm when offered gay love
12/19/2012There's little point in fighting fire with fire. As Chris Firth of Australian comedy/troublemaking team The Chaser demonstrates in this 2006 video, which has gone viral again after the Westboro Baptist Church announced it would picket Sandy Hook victims' funerals, the best way to extinguish flames of hate is to douse them with love — gay love. What surprises us most about this video of Firth chatting up a male member of church is the timidness of the other guy's response. He doesn't beat Firth up, he doesn't reach for any concealed sidearm, he just giggles. His wife, however, is less open to the idea. Maybe she knows something we don't?
