Petition to call Westboro Baptist a hate group most popular ever

A petition on the White House's "We the People" petition platform calling for the Obama administration to classify the Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group has garnered a record number of signatures. More than 250,000 people support the document, which was posted to the site on Dec. 14, the same day as the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings and the date that the church announced it would picket the funerals of the massacre's 26 victims.
