Wheat is poison even if you're not gluten intolerant, doc says

You eat organic foods and try to keep toxins out of your body; however, there is another venom that may be sneaking in through your breakfast toast: wheat. A doctor has called the popular grain the "perfect, chronic poison" and, though reports of wheat-associated health problems are hardly new, he says his concerns have nothing to do with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Dr. William Davis asserts that today's wheat, created from genetic research, is different than it was 50 years ago. It contains an appetite-stimulating protein called gliadin and patients who quit, among other things, report weight loss, reversed diabetes, eased arthritis, and reduced depression. [Source]
