12/12/2012Better pick it up, soccer hooligans: Wheelchair basketball fans in Turkey are making you look soft. Yes, wheelchair basketball. A match between six-time national champion Galatasary and its bitter rival Besiktas had to be abandoned in the second quarter when fans began brawling and throwing objects at one another and even trashing wheelchairs. Police eventually used tear gas to disperse the yahoos from the gym, but the fighting continued outside, and at least 10 arrests were made. Said Galatasary coach Sedat Incesu, "Sports are now officially dead in this country." [Source]
