Exhausted White House raises petition threshold to 100,000 signatures

1/16/2013

The White House, perhaps weary of dealing with the people's demands pertaining to Death StarsPiers Morgan and secession, is raising the signature threshold for We the People petitions to 100,000 before it will respond. The White House says it's because the popularity of its petition platform doubled in the last two months of 2012, with 2.4 million new users, and the new threshold will mean "popular ideas" get the time they deserve. What this really means for you, of course, is you only have 30 days to get 100,000 John Hancocks for that petition to have the signature threshold lowered to the previous minimum of 25,000. Hurry!
