Whole Foods CEO pretty much regrets comparing Obamacare to fascism
1/18/2013Whole Foods CEO John Mackey called Obamacare a very bad word, and he might be sorry about it. Then again, he might not. After comparing Obamacare to fascism in a radio interview, he told CBS News that it "was a bad choice of words." But speaking to HuffPost Live, his mea culpa sounded lukewarm, saying that while he "regret[ted] using that word now because it's got so much baggage attached to it … I was just using the standard dictionary definition." So, er, are you sorry, Mackey? It doesn't sound like it. One can argue over the definition of fascism, but everyone can define "theft," and that's charging $7 for a melon. [Source]
