Turkeys strike back, attacking the people who eat them
11/22/2012Wild turkeys are sticking up for their farm-raised friends — now roasting in your oven — and striking back. That’s right, they’re attacking humans. One Brookline, Mass., woman says she’s been harassed by gobblers more than once — they’ve assaulted her vehicle as she drove up her driveway, they’ve charged her front door and they’ve even drawn blood attacking her neck during her morning walk. Perhaps the birds sensed the approaching holiday and launched coordinated strikes; cops say turkey attacks like these have doubled in the last two months. But the wild birds might want to rethink their strategy, or at this rate they’ll find themselves plucked and served with gravy.
