Wisconsin man allegedly kills dozens of deer for thrills
4/1/2012A 20-year-old Wisconsin man may have killed 100 deer and left their bodies to rot -- all for a bet. Now, he's facing jail time. "This is the antithesis of hunting -- this is thrill killing," the district attorney in charge of the case told FOXnews.com. Nathan Blaha has confessed to killing 20 to 30 deer, but his co-defendants say the total number killed in the past two years is closer to 100. Blaha is accused of shooting the deer after dark and without a license, charges that could get him a total of 18 months in jail and a $3,000 minimum fine. For his part, Blaha has said he killed the animals "because we all kind of had bets who could get the most deer."
Is killing 100 deer hunting or a crime?
