If French wolves don't leave the sheep alone, they'll be shot

2/8/2013

Anyone who's seen "The Grey" may be under the impression that wolves are nothing but fast-moving death machines. Sheep would surely agree with that assessment — which is why French agricultural officials are instituting a new program in which wolves will be trained not to attack the woolly creatures. Serial-killing wolves will be tagged and briefly removed from the wild, a process that officials hope will be so traumatic that the wolves will revert to other prey. If that doesn't work, the tagged wolves will be found and shot. Environmentalists, predictably, aren’t feeling much amour for this plan. [Source]
