NASCAR's newest fan born in racetrack parking lot
9/17/2012Shawna Arnold made a very different kind of pit stop at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Friday. The expectant mother went into labor and was en route to a hospital with her boyfriend when her water broke. The couple pulled into the racetrack’s parking lot and delivered a healthy girl, named Katie, in the back of their car. Luckily the speedway’s operations director is a former EMT and he helped treat mother and baby, before an ambulance completed their journey to the hospital. Katie will never need reminding of where she began her life -- she's been given two free NASCAR tickets every year for life. [Source]
