Woman misses her Jumbotron marriage proposal while on a beer run

What’s more romantic than whisking your girlfriend from Montana to Wrigley Field for her first Cubs game? Proposing to her on the field’s giant scoreboard sounds like the ultimate date-night home run — as long as you don’t send her on a beer run right before the big moment. Greg Altringer had dispatched Erica Kresge to the concession stand during the Chicago-Pittsburgh matchup so he could arrange for spectators to videotape her reaction to the Jumbotron’s “Erica, will you marry me?” message, but Kresge took too long getting topped off and missed the electronic proposal. 

A distraught Altringer still proposed when she returned, and she said yes. We assume they toasted with those beers. [Source]
