Touching story ends badly, thanks to limited painting skills

8/22/2012

It sounds like the beginning of an incredibly touching story: An elderly Spanish woman, living near an ancient church, takes it upon herself to restore a damaged 19th-century painting, “Ecce Homo.” This is when the world finally discovers the talents of an as-yet-unknown artistic powerhouse, right?
