Woman reunites with bike she lost in river 42 years ago

Lisa Brown was riding her new banana-seat bike across a bridge on Cape Cod back in 1970 when she fell over the side into the river below. She couldn't get the bike out and left the scene "covered in stinky mud, smelling like a snapping turtle," she says. Now, 42 years later, the rusted-out, mangled bike has turned up in the woods with trees growing through it about one-quarter mile from the bridge. Brown's wife, Deirdre, discovered it one day while walking through the area. "When I finally walked up to the bike ... I was like, 'Wow! That's my bike!" Brown says. "It was like finding a long lost friend."
