Woman says she's severely allergic to her iPhone case

4/3/2012

A British woman's iPhone case caused her to break out in allergies so severe that she was unrecognizable to even her own mother. Jenny Taylor first noticed her face swelling after fitting her phone with a Griffin FlexGrip Punch cover and soon found her face and neck covered with a rash and a yellow "phone-shaped" sore where she had held it to her ear. On her first trip to the hospital she was given antihistamine pills, but later returned when her face swelled so much that swallowing and opening her eyes became difficult. Tests later revealed she had developed 13 skin allergies. Doctors suggested the reaction may have been caused by the silicone in the case.
