Woman set on fire is billed for car towed from crime scene

6/17/2012

The Sunshine State isn't cutting any breaks for a woman police say was doused with gasoline and set on fire by the father of her son. After a harrowing incident Monday that left Naomie Breton with third-degree burns on her face and body, the state of Florida is now socking the Palm Beach mom with a $340 towing bill for the vehicle taken from the scene of the blaze. "It's not like I had a choice of where my car went to. I was on fire," she told local television station WPBF. Breton also pointed out that she might not have been attacked in the first place if a Palm Beach County judge had granted her the restraining order she had pleaded for last month.
