Woman who allegedly tried to break into jail is arrested, put in jail
7/31/2012Jails are usually designed to stop people from breaking out, without too much concern for people breaking in. But this woman was actually asking to be locked up, police say. Tiffany R. Hurd allegedly attempted to climb over a barbed-wire fence to enter the Butler County Jail, near Cincinnati. Prison employees asked her to leave the property, but she refused, asking to be arrested. She got her wish and she was put behind bars for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. Surprise, surprise: Deputies say she was intoxicated. So the moral of the story: Jail isn't an exclusive club — if you want in, just break in and then refuse to leave like this guy. We hear the food’s pretty bad though. [Source]
Is there something wrong with the system if people actually want to go to jail?
