Women are more likely than men to hit gas pedal in error
4/14/2012A new study from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has revealed that female drivers are more likely than their male counterparts to mistake the gas pedal for the brakes. The agency, which calls the mishaps by their scientific name of "pedal misapplications," says that while there are only about 15 accidents of this type per month in the entire United States, women were involved in nearly two-thirds of them. It also reported that the majority of those accidents occurred in commercial parking lots. But before guys start thinking they can rub it in, they should know men are still responsible for more accidents overall, accounting for 57 percent of all crashes. Good job, guys.
