It was a glorious weekend for anyone who takes pride in Americans' ability to grow facial hair. The World Beard and Moustache Championships were held in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, on Saturday, and nine trophies went home with members of Beard Team USA. (Really? You couldn’t come up with a catchier name than that? "Nobody Fuzz It Better"? "Beard Me Up Buttercup"? Or even "One Hundred Beards of Solitude"?) Anyway, four of those nine trophies were first-place prizes, in the categories of English Moustache, Freestyle Moustache, Full Beard Natural and Full Beard with Styled Moustache. Overall, 300 beardos from 20 countries came and competed in categories that also included Best Goatee and Best Dali Moustache. The contest is biannual, so get out your calendar for 2015 and mark the only day in the next two years that a Dali mustache will be cool. [Source]
