World's richest man wants you to work longer

6/15/2012

Yep, Carlos Slim would rather see you driving to work at age 65 rather than steering a golf cart for a relaxing Monday morning round. The world's richest man has recommended increasing the retirement age of normal workers (that's probably you) to the age of 70, in an attempt to improve struggling economies around the world. Slim, 72, made his remarks at a global telecom conference in Switzerland. To be fair, Slim is still working as the head of Latin America's largest cell-phone network, but we suspect he has not been counting down the days until he can live off his pension fund.
