Turns out the best X-Men for the job are X-Women

1/16/2013

Killing off Peter Parker was only the start of the makeover that Marvel Comics is giving its superhero franchise. The "X-Men" title is set to reboot in April, and the first issue will feature an all-female cast. Women have been a major part of the group before (Halle Berry brought Storm to life on the big screen), and writer Brian Wood insists that "they've been the best thing about" the comic. But he's already receiving hostile feedback about the transformation, including what he calls "lame charges of reverse sexism." Maybe he forgot the sage advice of Charles Xavier, the fictional founder of "X-Men": "The next time you feel like showing off, don't." [Source]
