Yahoo's new boss is expecting a new baby7/17/2012
Some folks were perplexed when Marissa Mayer, one of Google's top executives, announced she's jumping ship to become the new CEO of Yahoo. But maybe this will shed some light on the mystery: Mayer is pregnant and due to give birth to her boy on October 7. "He moves around a lot. My doctor says that he takes after his parents," quipped the 37-year-old about her baby-to-be, which might make Mayer the first ever pregnant CEO of a Fortune 500 company. She added that none of Yahoo's directors revealed any concerns about hiring a pregnant chief exec, which she says is proof of their "evolved thinking." More likely they were impressed by her honesty: Yahoo's last CEO, Scott Thompson, was dumped after it emerged that he'd embellished his resume. [Source]
