Yoink! Brazen bald eagle steals catch from fisherman's line
7/2/2012"Ah, fishing! So peaceful. So zen. Nothing like the god-forsaken, crime-ridden city, where at any moment some jerk might sneak up and steal my ... wait, I got fish! It's a beaut ... HEY!" This is the internal monologue we imagine was running though fisherman Bruce Huntley's mind the instant before a wily bald eagle swooped out of the clear blue sky and relieved him of his catch while he was still reeling it in. The once-in-a-lifetime event, fortuitously caught on film by Huntley's buddy while they were fishing on Lake Padden near Bellingham, Wash., was one of those rare instances of a lake fisherman's heart rate exceeding 80 beats per minute.
What do you think was going through the fish's mind?
