Yoko Ono's clothing line has to be some kind of avant garde prank
11/29/2012In the '60s, Yoko Ono made an artistic statement by creating an object that couldn’t be used: a glass hammer. And in 2012 she’s done it again, by creating a men’s clothing line that no man would ever, ever wear. Pants with a hand grabbing the crotch, sleeveless shirts and man bandeau bras (man-deau bras?) with the nipples indicated and a “butt hoodie” that is nowhere near as sexy as that already-unsexy phrase sounds. Yoko, these are like, art pieces right? These are avant garde pieces for collectors to hang up on the wall and laugh about at dinner parties, right? That would at least explain how high the prices are ($400 dollars for a top?). [Source]
