Yoko Ono can't just let it be, blames Paul for Beatles breakup
12/28/2012So much for the statute of limitations on rock 'n' roll drama. Just two months ago, Paul McCartney insisted Yoko Ono shouldn't be blamed for the 1970 breakup of the Beatles — a better-late-than-never bit of absolution. Now, a two-decade-old interview with John Lennon's widow has surfaced in which she suggested McCartney's controlling nature caused the implosion. "They were getting to be like Paul's band, which they didn't like," Ono told rock-and-roll journalist Joe Smith. Not that it'll sway public opinion much. As @TheRayAnderson tweeted, "So that's one vote for Paul and the rest of the world for Yoko." [Source]
