You can own 'Hunger Games' District 12 for a mere $1.4M
4/5/2012At any point during "The Hunger Games," did anyone look at Katniss' dingy gray neighborhood and think "Wow, I want to live there?" Like, what's not to love about the world's least charming bakery and a large, edible squirrel population? District 12, or at least the abandoned North Carolina mill town that played it in the film, is now available for the bargain price of $1.4 million. Wade Shepherd, the current owner of the 72 acre property, has been overwhelmed by the interest in his collection of wooden buildings. "I'm getting too many visitors," he told the AP. "I'm just bombarded with people."
