You mooching grown-up kids are stressing out your parents

7/6/2012

If it's been years since you graduated high school and you're still sleeping in your childhood bedroom, it's time to move out -- you're stressing out your parents. A new Australian survey reveals that parents who share their homes with their adult children are more likely to feel stress than empty nesters. Moms and dads with "kippers" ("Kids In Parents' Pockets Eroding Retirement") reported a 94 per cent general stress level, compared with 90 per cent of kid-free nesters. On the other hand, just think how much more stressful it's going to be for those grown-up moochers to do their own cooking and laundry. The horror!
