Miss Universe Japan wants to be your nerd queen of manga
3/9/2013When Yukimi Matuso was a little girl, she was not good at sports, nor did she excel at school. Instead, she focused on her ability to draw manga. Yes, Yukimi was a bonafide cartoon nerd. Then she grew up, turned into a stunning woman and this month won the title of Miss Universe Japan 2013. Now, armed with pageant-winner super power and her undying love of illustrating, 25-year-old Matsuo’s mission is clear. She says: "The reason why I entered this competition is because I want to tell the world about Japanese manga."
