Kid who ate bedroom gets a new, less tasty one for his birthday

Most kids will chow down a little mud, but few develop a taste for the walls of their own bedroom. Zach Tahir, a 6-year-old from Salford, England, has pica — a  condition which means he's compelled to eat pretty much anything. Some of his favorite snacks include moss, stones, thread, paper, clothes, hair and plaster. His fondness for strange delicacies keeps him up for hours when he should be sleeping, and is so extreme that he ate part of his bedroom, starting with his sleeping bag. An online campaign raised $55,000 to build an inedible room for the boy. "He has slept in it for three nights and loves it," Zach's mom Rachel Horn said. We wonder if he eats his vegetables.
