Call him the Doogie Howser of political activists. Anti-creationist advocate Zack Kopplin is only 19 and already has a resume that rivals seasoned politicians. At 16, the Baton Rouge kid convinced the Louisiana State Board of Education to adopt science-based textbooks. His senior year, he casually opted to "get a repeal bill" for a class project, fighting the Louisiana Science Education Act that lets teachers substitute their own material for evolution-espousing curriculum. Somehow, the unknown teen got 78 Nobel laureate scientists to sign his letter in support.
