Zimbabwe teen to be caned for Facebook post

If you're a teenager living in North Carolina and make an offensive Facebook post, your dad may shoot your laptop. In Zimbabwe, you can apparently get caned. According to Technology Zimbabwe, a 17-year-old from the southern African country was found guilty of "criminal insult" for posting a picture of a woman on Facebook with a caption that called her a prostitute. The woman informed law enforcement, and a magistrate sentenced the boy to two lashes with a cane. The teen unsuccessfully pleaded for leniency by claiming that he was brand new to social networking.
