Newborn Somali wild ass may be the cutest ass around

It’s not every day a Somali wild ass gives birth at Zoo Miami – or, for that matter, that CBS’s Miami affiliate has occasion to run a story online under the (cheeky?) headline “Zoo Miami Assesses Wild Ass Newborn.” On Aug. 9 the zoo welcomed its first-ever newborn critically endangered Somali wild ass. This week, the foal and its 14-year-old mom, Lisha, were introduced to the public, and vets had a chance to examine the little ass, which they determined to be female. The zebra-esque newborn is not only extremely rare, she’s also really adorable — so you can stop laughing your you-know-what off about the word “ass” now. [Source]
